I came across Alfresco Fires in a recent edition of the Garden Design Journal and thought they’d be great for enabling outdoor living on those chillier days.  We cook on our BBQ all the time, even in winter, so I’d love something a little bit more permanent.

A couple of years ago when we were on holiday in Greece our villa had a built in BBQ and we cooked over a wood fire – the food tasted amazing!

Each fireplace is designed and hand built using traditional building methods and to meet individual requirements.

It’s also possible to incorporate your BBQ into the design.

The Traditional firebrick construction provides optimum radiant heat output – fabulous for keeping warm on chillier evenings which, let’s face it, in the UK is more likely to be the case.

Some of the fires have a contemporary feel to them, but I think they’d work perfectly next to a terrace or in a Mediterranean garden setting.
