Outdoor fires by Planika

I have been aware of outdoor fires for some time, but I came across Planika last week and thought it would be nice to share some images and details about their bio-ethanol fires that can be used both inside and outside your home.

These fires use an ethanol-based fuel which is environmentally friendly and allows a real fire without the soot and smoke that you would get from a conventional fire.  This makes it ideal for use outside because it allows you to create warmth and atmosphere without the challenges that an open fire would present, especially if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction!

I love the clean contemporary design of these fires – they’d look fabulous on the terrace of a modern town house or even in London where contemporary design meets traditional architecture.

All the fires featured in this post are suitable for indoor and outdoor settings.  Some are more mobile than others, but it does give scope to move them around depending on where you’d like to sit.

I love the bubble fire below with it’s curved base.

Whether you have a terrace where you dine out in the summer or an area with lounge seating, a fire can help to bring a homely feel to a space, especially in the evening when it can feel a bit chilly after the sun has set.

In addition they offer a full range of fires for inside the home and these can be found on the Planika website.
